I used to not like American Music Club. I had never heard their music but many, many people would come up to me and tell me how great they were. This always creates some sort of "instant" doubt for me. I tend to like to discover things for myself. Then one day I read a review of a show they'd put on in San Fransisco. It said the band began to play without Mr. Eitzel after giving up on his making the show, he was very late. Sometime durring the first song, there was a disturbance at the back of the room as a very drunk desheveled person was making a fuss in the crowd. There was pushing and shoving and at one point one of the crowd started to beat the crap out of the offending person. This person kept moving tword the front with various others taking a swing or two at the poor offensive drunkard. By the end of the song the poor bloodied drunk climbed onto the stage and began to sing with the band, it was Mark Eitzel. This story impressed me so much that the next day I went out and bought "Everclear" and the first song I ever heard was "Why Wont You Stay" I've liked it ever since.
